Foot: Jonathan Bolingi loaned to FC Lausanne (Switzerland)

Congolese international striker Jonathan Bolingi Mpangi Merikani (26) was loaned again by Royal Antwerp to football club Lausanne in Switzerland on Friday 05 February 2021, after he had just exhausted his 6 months in Turkey.

Arrived in Europe in 2017 from the Almighty Mazembe, the former ravens scorer had initialed a contract with Standard de Liège, as did his two other teammates, Merveille Bope and Christian Luyindama.

Unfortunately, nothing has worked since for Bolingi. He played 6 games with Standard and didn’t score any goals. Then he was transferred to Royal Excel Mouscron (still in Belgium) the same year.

There he played a total of 27 games and scored 7 goals which still seemed to be insufficient compared to the goals set by the club that year.

In 2018, he was approached and signed with Royal Antwerp with which he scored only 2 goals in 41 games. Weak statistics for a center forward who came to win in Europe.

Since 2019, the Congolese striker in the final of CHAN 2016 in Rwanda (tournament won by the DRC), has been loaned on several occasions respectively to KAS Eupen (Belgium), Ankaragucu (Turkey), and today hui it is the turn of a new challenge in Switzerland.

For clarification, Bolingi belongs to Antwerp until the end of its contract. It is indeed, the Belgian club which accepts to lend it at any time.

The Congolese certainly discovered several European cultures and football, but did not emanate confidence with all these repeated loans, unlike Bope (still at Standard) and Luyindama who won in Galatasaray (Turkey).
